Konterra was founded by Miguel and Eduardo to design immersive journeys across Peru and South America that go beyond traditional tourism.

Blending deep local knowledge, cultural connection, and thoughtful exploration, they craft thoughtfully curated and carefully designed experiences that connect travellers with the landscapes, people, and stories that make each destination unique, creating journeys that are both meaningful and unforgettable.

Miguel Mudbidri

CO - Founder

Miguel is a Peruvian‑Australian storyteller, traveller, and culture‑connector. Born in Lima and based in Sydney, he has spent over two decades helping people explore new countries and new possibilities. Now he’s channeling that global experience into something closer to the heart: crafting immersive journeys across Peru and Latin America.

With a background in international education, migration strategy, and cross‑cultural business, Miguel has guided thousands of people through life‑changing transitions. He’s also been a voice for the Latin community, mentoring, sharing insights on mobility, culture, and the power of global experiences and trade.

He loves travelling to Peru and Latin America with his wife and three daughters, discovering new places and experiences.

Eduardo Ferrero

CO - Founder

Eduardo is an entrepreneur, traveller, and venture builder that brings ideas and experiences to life. Originally from Peru and now based in Sydney.

Over the years, Eduardo’s work has taken him across continents, with a strong passion for surfing, exploring new landscapes, cultures, and business opportunities. Travel has always been central to that journey — not simply visiting places, but understanding them through their people, environments, and stories.

With Konterra, Eduardo brings together his entrepreneurial mindset and his passion for exploration, helping shape journeys that are thoughtfully designed, immersive, and deeply connected to the destinations they explore.

He believes the most memorable expeditions are those that combine adventure, culture, and discovery — experiences that stay with travellers long after the journey ends.

Luis is Konterra’s ocean specialist, elite surf guide, and ultimate waterman. Born in Peru and now deeply rooted in the Australian surf community, he brings more than 40 years of surfing experience gained across Peru, Australia, and beyond.

A former professional Australian lifeguard, international water photographer, experienced Peruvian tour guide, and current member of the Royal Australian Navy, Luis combines exceptional ocean knowledge with a strong commitment to safety and authentic local insight. His career has taken him across Australia, South America, and Central America, where he has guided travellers and photographed some of the world’s best surfers in challenging conditions.

With more than 20 years of surf-coaching experience, Luis currently teaches at URBNSURF and along the NSW South Coast. His passion extends from surfing and hydrofoiling to kite surfing, fishing, travel, and ocean exploration.

At Konterra, Luis channels a lifetime on the water into creating and leading immersive ocean adventures—bringing together expert guidance, exceptional safety, cultural connection, and genuine surf culture.

Originally from Mexico and trained in Interior Design, Cecilia sees the world through a creative lens, finding inspiration in the places she visits, the art she encounters, the flavours she discovers, and the stories she collects along the way.

A passionate traveller with a love for design, art, food, and shopping, Cecilia curates thoughtfully designed journeys for women who are culturally curious and eager to experience the world beyond the ordinary.

Her carefully crafted itineraries blend incredible design, authentic local experiences, unique shopping discoveries, and hidden gems of creativity, taking the stress out of planning so you can fully immerse yourself in the joy of travel from the moment you arrive.

For Cecilia, travel is about more than discovering new destinations. It is about meaningful connections, shared experiences, and the friendships that last long after the journey ends. Through her women’s travel groups, she brings like-minded women together to explore, connect, and create unforgettable memories around a shared love of adventure and discovery.

I’m Liliana Rubiano, born in Colombia, South America, and proudly calling Australia home since 2009.

I’m passionate about travel, family and discovering new places and cultures around the world. With a background in international commerce, logistics, customer service and entrepreneurship, I love connecting people, cultures and experiences across borders.

I have a particular soft spot for the ocean and water sports, especially swimming and sailing, and a deep love for Latin American culture, gastronomy and its vibrant way of life. As an entrepreneur, I’ve also had the opportunity to bring a touch of South American fashion and colour to Australian shores.

Australia has become a very special part of my story, while my Colombian and South American roots remain at the heart of who I am. Through Konterra Experiences, I love sharing those roots with travellers and helping them discover the warmth, flavours, landscapes and unforgettable experiences that make Latin America so unique.

Born in Sydney and raised in the beautiful Blue Mountains, my love of travel and adventure started at an early age, growing up with touring musicians as parents. What began as a curiosity for new experiences has developed into a lifelong passion for exploring the world and discovering different cultures.

Having lived in Canada and the United States, and travelled throughout Europe, Asia and South America, I’ve been fortunate to experience a diverse range of destinations. Peru & Chile have had a particularly profound influence on me, inspiring a deep appreciation for Latin American culture, its rich history, vibrant food, incredible landscapes and architecture.

Outside of travel, I’m passionate about surfing, fitness, food, coffee and outdoor adventures. I’m also currently learning Spanish and continuing to explore my connection to Latin America.

With extensive experience in sales and customer service, I love helping people create their own version of the perfect trip. For me, travel is about the experiences, unexpected discoveries and memories that stay with you long after you’ve returned home.
