1. Introduction

Welcome to Konterra Pty Ltd (“Konterra”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including bookings for private journeys, group tours, curated experiences, custom itineraries, and related travel services. By accessing our website or booking with Konterra, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website and our services.

2. Services

Konterra Pty Ltd provides curated travel experiences and travel-related services, including but not limited to:

  • Private journeys

  • Small group tours

  • Adventure and cultural experiences

  • Luxury travel experiences

  • Custom itineraries

  • Travel planning services

  • Concierge-style travel coordination

Certain services are operated by independent third-party providers, including:

  • airlines,

  • hotels,

  • local guides,

  • transport operators,

  • destination management companies (DMCs),

  • activity providers,

  • and other suppliers.

Konterra acts as a booking facilitator and intermediary for certain services.

3. Booking & Payments

3.1 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only once:

  • the required deposit or full payment has been received; and

  • written confirmation has been issued by Konterra.

Konterra reserves the right to decline any booking request at its discretion.

3.2 Deposits

Certain experiences require a non-refundable deposit to secure arrangements with suppliers and operators.

Deposit amounts vary depending on:

  • destination,

  • supplier terms,

  • seasonality,

  • and trip complexity.

3.3 Final Payment

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • final payment is due at least 60 days prior to departure. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of deposits already paid.

3.4 Pricing & Currency

All pricing is displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified.

Prices are:

  • subject to availability,

  • subject to supplier changes,

  • and may change prior to booking confirmation.

Konterra reserves the right to adjust pricing due to:

  • currency fluctuations,

  • fuel surcharges,

  • government taxes,

  • supplier increases,

  • or unforeseen operational costs.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Traveller Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to:

Cancellation fees may apply depending on:

  • supplier policies,

  • notice period,

  • seasonality,

  • destination,

  • and non-refundable services already secured.

Some bookings may be fully non-refundable once confirmed.

4.2 Refund Processing

Where refunds are approved:

  • processing times may vary depending on suppliers, payment providers, and banking institutions;

  • Konterra is not responsible for delays caused by third parties.

Administrative fees and unrecoverable supplier costs may be deducted from refunds where permitted.

4.3 Supplier & Operational Changes

Konterra is not liable for cancellations, delays, or modifications caused by:

  • airlines,

  • weather events,

  • natural disasters,

  • political instability,

  • strikes,

  • border restrictions,

  • pandemics,

  • supplier insolvency,

  • or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where possible, we will assist travellers in obtaining credits, alternatives, or refunds from suppliers.

4.4 No-Show

Failure to arrive for booked services, departures, or activities may result in forfeiture of the full booking value.

5. Force Majeure

Konterra Pty Ltd shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • acts of God,

  • extreme weather,

  • natural disasters,

  • war,

  • civil unrest,

  • terrorism,

  • pandemics,

  • border closures,

  • transport disruptions,

  • or government restrictions.

In such circumstances, itineraries may be altered, postponed, suspended, or cancelled without liability beyond obligations imposed under applicable law.

6. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers and should include coverage for:

  • cancellations,

  • medical expenses,

  • emergency evacuation,

  • delays,

  • personal liability,

  • lost baggage,

  • and adventure activities where applicable.

Travellers are responsible for ensuring their policy adequately covers their destinations and activities.

7. Passports, Visas & Health Requirements

Travellers are solely responsible for:

  • passport validity,

  • visa requirements,

  • vaccinations,

  • health documentation,

  • and compliance with entry requirements for all destinations.

Konterra Pty Ltd is not responsible for denied boarding, refusal of entry, or losses resulting from failure to comply with travel requirements.

8. Medical Fitness & Special Requirements

Travellers are responsible for ensuring they are medically and physically fit for participation in booked experiences.

Travellers must disclose:

  • medical conditions,

  • mobility limitations,

  • dietary restrictions,

  • allergies,

  • or other special requirements

prior to booking confirmation.

Konterra cannot guarantee accommodation of all special requests.

9. Adventure Activities & Assumption of Risk

Many Konterra experiences involve inherent risks associated with:

  • trekking,

  • hiking,

  • remote travel,

  • wildlife encounters,

  • water activities,

  • altitude,

  • outdoor environments,

  • and adventure-based activities.

By participating, travellers acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks.

Participation is undertaken at the traveller’s own risk.

10. Changes to Itineraries

Konterra reserves the right to:

  • modify itineraries,

  • substitute accommodations,

  • change guides,

  • alter transport,

  • adjust schedules,

  • or replace activities

where reasonably necessary due to operational, environmental, safety, or supplier-related circumstances.

Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve the overall character and quality of the experience.

11. Minimum Group Numbers

Certain group departures may require minimum participant numbers to operate.

If minimum numbers are not reached:

  • Konterra reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the departure;

  • travellers may be offered alternative dates, travel credits, or refunds where appropriate.

12. Traveller Conduct

Travellers are expected to behave respectfully toward:

  • local communities,

  • guides,

  • suppliers,

  • staff,

  • and fellow travellers.

Konterra reserves the right to refuse participation or remove travellers whose conduct is:

  • unsafe,

  • abusive,

  • disruptive,

  • illegal,

  • or inappropriate,

without refund or compensation.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all website content including:

  • branding,

  • logos,

  • itineraries,

  • text,

  • graphics,

  • photography,

  • videos,

  • downloadable materials,

  • and design elements

is owned by or licensed to Konterra Pty Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • reproduce,

  • redistribute,

  • scrape,

  • copy,
