We present a unique experience for nature lovers, bird watchers, and photographers in Peru, one of the world's top three countries with bird species. If you are looking for an adventure combining Peruvian biodiversity's splendor with unparalleled opportunities to capture spectacular images, Manu Road is a destination you cannot miss. We invite you to explore the magical Manu Road, a destination globally recognized for its astonishing and elusive birdlife, incredible landscapes, and diverse cultural heritage.
Manu Road is one of the world's most iconic birdwatching routes, crossing the Peruvian Andes and descending into the Amazon. This ecological corridor is a wildlife paradise, home to more than 1,000 species of birds, including many local endemic species found nowhere else on the planet. From the colorful Andean Cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird, to the three species of Quetzals, Manu Road is a dream destination for bird watchers and photographers alike.
During the trip, you will be guided by expert bird watchers with years of experience in the field, biologists, and nature photographers who will share their profound knowledge about birds and their habitats. Additionally, our guides are trained to help you identify species, provide interpretation of the ecosystems present, and ensure the presence of a certain group of birds in natural spaces that offer opportunities to take home one of the best photographic memories.
Your adventure begins in Cusco, where we will pick you up to embark on a road trip through the Qoshñipata Valley. We will travel from the city of Cusco to Paucartambo to start the transition from one side to the other of the Andes mountain range. As we descend from the Andes to the lowlands of the Amazon, you will witness one of the most impressive landscape and ecosystem transformations that offer a stunning backdrop for your photographs. Along the route, you will have access to a series of habitats rich in biodiversity: from high Andean grasslands and cloud forests to the rainforest and low Amazon jungle. We arrive at Wayquecha, our first hotel, where lunch awaits. After settling into your rooms, we'll explore the cloud forest facilities, including a trail, an orchid circuit, and areas set up with feeders for photographing high Andean hummingbirds.

After the lek activity, we leisurely descend from the observation blind back to the hotel, keeping an eye out for the stunning crested quetzal, playful woolly monkeys, and a variety of birds along the way.
The remainder of the morning and afternoon will be spent at the bird feeders, where you'll encounter a dazzling array of tanagers, numerous hummingbirds, and the striking versicolored barbet, one of the most photogenic birds along the route.
