Day 1 - LIMA

Airport arrival, meet & greet, transfer to hotel, leisure for the rest of the day. For early arrivals, additional activities are available on request.

Day 2 - LIMA: Full Day City Tour

Day Tour to the must-see places of Lima: Historic Centre of Lima and stunning architecture from Colonial times, Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor (or Plaza de Armas, main square) which concentrates all the forces of the city: the Cathedral and Archbishop's Palace, the Town Hall and the Government Palace.

Entrance and guided tour to the Cathedral, highlights in its interiors are the chapel holding the remains of Francisco Pizarro, the choir stalls, a beautiful 16th century relief of the adoration of the shepherds, a 17th century statue of the Madonna and Christ child. Visit to the Santo Domingo Church, oldest church and convent in Lima. Casa Aliaga, private home from 1535 built over what had been a large pre-Hispanic construction.

Lunch at Café del Museo Restaurant (set menu).

Guided visit to the Larco Museum with the best gold and silver private collection of Ancient Peru and the famous erotic gallery.

Return to hotel, relax time.

Dinner at one of Lima's top restaurants.

Day 3 - LIMA: Half day Culinary Experience

Sensory experience through the local market and ends with a full-on cooking class at Hotel B in Barranco. There will take place a coffee tasting experience at a specialized coffee shop, where you will enjoy a variety of exquisite coffees and learn about different brewing methods. Visit to a Local Market accompanied by the Executive Chef of Hotel B to discover the rich variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, sampling some of the best.

Visit to the seafood stall to learn about and taste the treasures of our maritime territory.

Peruvian Fruit Tasting at Hotel B with spectacular view of the vertical garden. Learn about emblematic national cocktail: The Pisco Sour and “Prepare your own” at Hotel B’s Bar.

Participatory class making Ceviche, Lomo Saltado and, for dessert, Crunchy Custard Apple.

Afternoon: Return to hotel & leisure.

The Experience

Cusco & Sacred Valley

Day 4 - CUSCO, URUBAMBA

Hotel pickup and transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco.

Arrival at Cusco. Greeting at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Urubamba (1.5 hours journey). On the way we will have a guided visit to Chinchero.

Check in at the hotel and remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5 - URUBAMBA, STAR LODGE

Morning visiting the local surroundings and local markets.

Lunch in a traditional local restaurant.

Transfer to the famous Via Ferrata and Zip Line Experience. A Mountain Experience of a lifetime! Climb of 400 mts of via ferrata (average duration 1.5 hours) to a suspension bridge.Descend the mountain using zip line, 150 mt to 700 mt length, for 2400mt in total. (Maximum weight of 120 kg (265 lbs) to do this activity). * There is an easier alternative (softer climb and no zip-line)

Transfer to Star Lodge base and check in. After the initial briefing on how to use lodge facilities, ascent to your unique and world class cliff edge pod.Enjoy an exclusive Hot tub sunset / early night experience on the edge cliff with panoramic views of the Sacred Valley.

Descend from you pod for dinner at the base camp, before heading back up to your pod for the night, with magical views of the Vally and clear skies full of stars.

Day 6 - OLLANTAYTAMBO, MARAS & MORAY

Enjoy a second chance for an early morning hot tub experience, before descending to the base camp for breakfast.

Transfer to Ollantaytambo and site visit followed by lunch at a traditional local restaurant.

Afternoon visit to Maras salt mines and Moray archeological site, before checkin in the hotel.

Day 7 - MACHU PICCHU, CUSCO

Early breakfast before transferring to Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the iconic Vistadome Observatory train to Machu Picchu (3hrs approx).

You will arrive at Aguas Calientes, a short stroll through this picturesque Andean Village to the bus stop to go to the top of the mountain to visit Machu Picchu

Guided visit to the Lost City of the Incas: Machu Picchu with a local private guide, according to the route in the ticket purchased. After the visit of 2 to 2.5 hrs, the bus will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (set menu) at local restaurant, following by an afternoon departure from the town of Aguas Calientes, on board of the train Vistadome Observatory. After arriving back at the Ollantaytambo train station, you will be transferred on private vehicle to your hotel in Cusco (1.5 hrs jouney approx.)

Day 8 - CUSCO, LIMA

Start your day with a private City Tour of Cusco, visiting places such as the Central Square, the Cathedral, Koricancha and the ruins around the city such as Sacsayhuaman fortress and Kenko.

Lunch and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima.

Dinner at the Hotel or optional Restaurant depending on arrival time.

Day 9 - IQUITOS & DELFIN III AMAZON CRUISE

Transfer to the airport and flight to Iquitos. Upon arrival at Iquitos, you will be welcomed at the airport by the Delfin Amazon Cruise team and will be transferred to Nauta port (1.5 – 2 hrs approx.), where you will embark on the luxurious Delfin III vessel.

Once on board, you will enjoy the floor to ceiling panoramic views from your suite, a culinary journey through the Amazon with local expert chefs backed by the Ralais Chateaux certified cuisine experience. Expert naturalist guides will provide a presentation of the journey ahead. At twilight, set out on the first skiff excursion to watch herons, monkeys, and sloths among the branches. Search for caimans, owls, and other nocturnal creatures under a starlit canopy.

Day 10 - DELFIN III AMAZON CRUISE

Wake with the rising sun to the vibrant sounds of the rainforest and Birdwatching at Las Palmas.

As dawn breaks, the treetops come alive with macaws, toucans, and countless endemic species. Journey into the Amazon Natural Park guided by the naturalists to uncover the secrets of medicinal plants used for generations by local communities. Take part in a powerful Shamana Ceremony led by a revered healer whose deep connection to the jungle spirit offers a rare glimpse into the ancestral heart of the Amazon.

In the afternoon, navigate the serene waters of the Yanayacu River. Glide on kayaks or paddleboards through hidden lagoons, swim near playful pink river dolphins, or try your hand at piranha fishing along the river’s edge.

During the low water season the hidden Amazonian beaches are revealed—pristine stretches of sand to pause and enjoy a playful and rejuvenating mud treatment, straight from the riverbed itself.

As twilight fades, a Night Safari along the Pucate River under the soft glow of the moon.

Day 11 - DELFIN III AMAZON CRUISE

Wildlife Encounters. Trail walk through Fundo Casual. Discover colorful frogs, curious insects, and medicinal plants, all guided by our expert naturalists.

Visit to a local community and connect with the Amazonian people, their traditions, daily life, and the deep bond they share with the jungle.

In the afternoon, witness the Confluence of the Rivers at the Unión de los Ríos. Watch as the dark waters of the Ucayali and the lighter currents of the Marañón meet to form the mighty Amazon River.

Day 12 - DELFIN III AMAZON CRUISE - LIMA

A Fond Farewell to the Amazon. Staff will bid farewell as the journey comes to an end.

At Nauta’s port, the cruise team will escort passengers by private vehicle back to Iquitos. Before flight, an interactive activity about melipona stingless bees and their crucial role in the Amazon ecosystem.

Visit to the Amazon Research Center for Ornamental Fishes to admire the Amazon’s vibrant aquatic life. This final stop offers a beautiful farewell to the region’s rich biodiversity.

At the airport the guide and the Delfin crew will warmly say goodbye, hoping your Amazon journey leaves you with unforgettable memories.

Flight from Iquitos back to Lima and connecting flights or further accommodation deepening on travel plans.

Practical Information

  • Iquitos experiences warm, humid weather with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 33°C (70°F to 90°F).

  • The rainy high-water season runs from January to June, and the dry low-water season from July to December, each bringing distinct changes in wildlife and landscape.

  • Pack light, breathable clothing, long sleeves, swimwear, soft-soled shoes, and layers like cardigans or wind-resistant jackets for cooler nights. Waterproof boots and rain ponchos are provided.

  • To protect against insects, it is recommended to take Vitamin B or B-15 before arrival, along with conventional repellents and bite creams.

  • Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera with extra batteries.

  • A pair of binoculars per cabin will be provided.

  • All of the vessels have WIFI connection on the third deck. The password will be shared once on board.

  • We also recommend bringing around USD$100 in small Soles bills denominations for purchases outside the main walk, especially at Fundo Casual, known for its beautiful wooden boards.
